Who is eligible to use this service?

You may utilise this service if you meet the following criteria:

have established or pre-settled status, applied for a visa, and scanned your identity document on your phone using the 'UK Immigration: ID Check' app

If you have a vignette in your passport or a biometric residency permit to prove your immigration status, you cannot utilise this service.

There are various services available to help you show your right to work to an employer and your right to rent to a landlord.

View or demonstrate your immigration status

You will require:

details of the identification document you used when applying (your passport, national identity card, or biometric residence card or permit)

access to the mobile phone or email address you used when applying - you'll be emailed a code for logging in

Checking your status within the United Kingdom

It is not feasible to track your visa application online, however you may be able to contact the department that is handling your application.

You can check your status by contacting UK Visas and Immigration ((UKVI) the Home Office division in charge of visa procedures in the UK).

Checking your status outside of the United Kingdom

If you apply for a visa from outside the UK, you will be obliged to visit a visa application centre in the nation where you live.

You must submit your biometric information at your local visa application centre, however the decision will be made by UKVI.

You can contact UKVI for a decision on your application, but there are fees associated with verifying this information.
