UK Visa Requirements

Data derived from biometrics If you are applying for a visa that allows you to stay in the UK for more than six months, you must provide biometric information. This includes providing fingerprints and having a digital image taken at the proper application centre.

Invitation letter for a UK visa (If applicable). If you are staying with a friend or family member, you must provide a letter of invitation. Your host must be a British national or a lawful resident of the UK.

I paid the UK visa fees. You must present the receipt confirming that you have paid the requisite visa fee.

Any document that is not in English or Welsh must be certified.

Additional Prerequisites Depending on Your Employment Situation

You will be required to submit additional documents based on your employment situation, which are as follows:

If you are employed, a letter from your boss is required. This letter should validate your job title, income, and term of employment.

If you are self-employed, you will need the following paperwork: business registration documents. They should confirm the name of the business owner as well as the date the business began operations.

If you are a student, you will need a letter from your educational institution. Your enrollment and leave of absence should be confirmed in the letter.

Documents Required at the UK Port of Entry

You will be required to show some documents to border control officers at the UK port of entry.

If you are an EU/EEA national, you can have your documents examined through the EU/EEA channel. All you need is your ID or passport. Children under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
